WETCO Signs a Strategic Alliance Agreement With The IT Group
------------------------------------------------------------
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Neozyme International,
Inc., a subsidiary of International Daleco Corporation (OTC: ILDO),
announced today that its Midwest distributor, Worldwide
Environmental Technologies Corporation (WETCO), of Lincoln,
Nebraska and The IT Group, Inc. (NYSE: ITX), of Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement to bring
business-focused environmental engineering, consulting and
remediation technologies to the growing agribusiness market.
"Neozyme has worked closely with WETCO for the past four years
to introduce our patented products to the agribusiness marketplace.
The strategic alliance's primary sales target is animal confinement
and food processing, a worldwide, agribusiness wastewater treatment
market estimated at $10 billion. We look forward to the business
that can be generated by this alliance," said Neozyme's chairman,
Parker Dale.
The IT Group is a "Fortune 1,000" company with annual revenue of
approximately $1.4 billion. The IT Group's member companies have
over 80 offices in the U.S., 15 offices in foreign countries
and over 7,000 employees.
Mr. Charles E. Wechsler, Director of Strategic Technology
Relationships for IT Corporation, said, "The IT Group brings
a 74-year history of providing business-based engineering and
consulting solutions to agribusiness environmental issues. The
IT Group, through its member companies, is a leading provider of
a comprehensive range of services addressing the infrastructure,
consulting, engineering and construction, water/wastewater,
civil works and facilities management needs of a broad variety
of public and private sector clients. This strategic alliance
with WETCO brings the capabilities and financial and human
resources of The IT Group into the agribusiness markets for
professional environmental management."
WETCO's chairman, Richard N. Thompson of Lincoln, stated that,
"Under the agreement, IT Corporation, a member of The IT Group,
and WETCO plan to market jointly the 'WETCO Process' throughout
the U.S. and in certain foreign countries."
"The WETCO Process," Stuart H. Russell, president of WETCO,
explained, "utilizes a non-toxic, biodegradable, liquid concentrate
bio-organic catalyst. This patented product line is manufactured
by Neozyme International, Inc. of Aliso Viejo, California.
The Neozyme products accelerate the microbial degradation of
wastewater solids."
Mr. Russell stated that the WETCO Process has been field tested
over the past four years in multiple agribusiness applications
and has been proven to be very cost-effective in dealing with
such issues as odor and nutrient reduction (nitrogen and phosphates),
as well as resulting in a material reduction of sediments in
wastewater lagoons common to this industry.
Neozyme manufactures and sells its patented line of biocatalysts
in the U.S. and several overseas markets addressing municipal
and industrial wastewater treatment, the hospitality industry,
agribusiness, hydrocarbon remediation and industrial metal
cleaning. All Neozyme products are nontoxic, 100% biodegradable
and can be used safely around humans, animals, marine life
and vegetation.

New Waste Water Lift Station Monitoring Service
------------------------------------------------------------
BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 2000--J-U-B Engineers,
Inc., Idaho's leading civil engineering firm, has reached a
three-year agreement with the City of Pocatello, Idaho, to
monitor operational parameters for the city's 22 waste water
lift stations.
JUB is implementing a service developed by Insightek, Inc.,
an Idaho-based technology company specializing in remote
resource monitoring systems and services.
The J-U-B/Insightek service will replace sporadic manual
inspection of the lift stations with constant, real-time
monitoring that can predict major failure long before problems
appear.
"In the past we have used systems based on SCADA (Supervisory
Control and Data Acquisition) technology," said J-U-B Engineers
president Jim Coleman. "The advantage of Insightek's service
is that it provides a monitoring approach that can be delivered
anytime, anywhere via the Internet, and can provide predictive
analysis as well as provide alerts when something goes wrong."
"Other systems lack expert software that creates knowledge via
diagnostic analysis and reporting," said Kevin Rowland,
vice-president of sales and marketing for Insightek. "With
Insightek's technology, not only can past events be followed,
but future events can be predicted-- preventing expensive
down time and repair situations."
First full-scale implementation
The City of Pocatello has been evaluating the Insightek
technology on a small scale, test basis. The city was
sufficiently impressed with the technology's potential to
sign an agreement for full implementation with J-U-B, making
it the first full-scale commercial application of the
Insightek service.
"We can remotely monitor the lift stations and get a
clear indication before we leave the shop as to what
potential problems may occur," said Todd McCarroll, a
City of Pocatello Water Pollution Control Department
technician. "This will allow us to better utilize the
time of the department staff."
As a professional services organization on the Idaho
Public Works list, J-U-B is pre-qualified for contract
with any government agency. J-U-B sees wide spread
potential for the Insightek technology.
"I think small and medium-sized cities in particular
will benefit enormously from this service," said Coleman.
"Any computer can be used for access, and engineers
can constantly monitor each lift stations status and
use the resulting data for future planning. It will
help project the life of the systems more accurately
while saving man hours in inspection time for city
public works."
About Insightek/J-U-B
Based in Pocatello, Idaho, Insightek develops remote
resource management technologies and services for
productivity improvement. These services are delivered
through the Internet, with applications in water
resource management, agriculture and manufacturing.

Dimminutor® Replaces Worthington Comminutors at Mattabassett
------------------------------------------------------------
The City of Cromwell, Connecticut wastewater treatment facility
in the Mattabassett Sewer District had a problem with their
comminutors. This large regional facility handles the flow
of not only their region but accepts additional flow which
is received by rail into their septage receiving area. This
facility handles 90 Mgd per day of primarily domestic sewage
along with a variety of other sources that come in thru
the receiving station.
The facility's old 36 inch Worthington comminutors were
experiencing numerous operational problems and were badly
in need of replacement. Even worse, leakage was detected
from the units' mercury seals which was causing a major
contamination nightmare. The problem called for an urgent
solution.
After investigation, the facility discovered Franklin Miller
had a perfect solution. Franklin Miller's model 36-XF
Dimminutor was not only a more powerful replacement for
the application, but also fit directly in the place of
the Worthington. This meant a tremendous savings in
installation costs because the need for site work was
minimized. Additionally, the 36"XF could handle 30% more
flow than the original Worthington comminutors in the
same channel. Three Dimminutor units were installed at
the facility.
According to Matt McClimans, plant operator, "the
Dimminutor forms our first line of defense and probably
our best line of defense for the rest of the plant.. Our
previous unit had an oscillating design which could get
jammed at the end of a cycle. We chose the Dimminutor
primarily for its 360-degree ability. This unit can
reverse and anything that gets jammed in it basically
gets chopped up."
The Dimminutor 36XF is a powerful high flow screening
and grinding unit that can handle up to 25 mgd per day
and is rated for continuous service. These units are
heavily constructed of steel plate which is precision
ground for precise alignment and stability. The
Dimminutor uses a specially designed stainless steel
sizing screen cut with laser precision. With its
"clear-slot" system, the Dimminutor cutters actually
penetrate the screen slots to keep them positively
cleared of debris. The Dimminutor is built for
maintenance ease. Each cutter and screen is replaceable
and adjustable without necessitating unit removal
from the channel. The rotary cutters intermesh at
close clearance with stationary cutters to chop and
sheer heavy solids. With the units cantilevered
drive design, there are no seals or bearings located
at the channel floor where excessive wear from grit
can occur.
The Dimminutor features a high capture and process rate.
This is accomplished via the elimination of any gaps
or ways for uncut solids to be diverted around the
mechanism, as occurs with other designs. The result
is this unit's design is extremely efficient and
effective.
Since installation, the plant reports a high level
of satisfaction with the units performance.

Mr. Semerci needs help with evaporation of wastewater:
A glue manufacturing factory has a daily flowrate of 1,000
liters/day. The wastewater consists of basically alcohol and
many organics. Therefore it seems hard to provide the effluent
discharge standards by classical treatment systems such as
biological treatment. Therefore we are planning to evaporate
the wastewater The wastewater evaporates at 110 Centigrade degrees.
Is this temp enough? Or will all the organics completely be
burned over 800 degrees. Or what is the temp do i have to use ?

Mr. Kelley needs info on European & Asian valve manufacturers:
Buckhorn Rubber is a rubber injection molder in the USA
with plants in Missouri and North Carolina. One of the
markets that we serve is the waterworks market. We
manufacture rubber encapsulated wedge gates (RW Valves -
Cast Iron & Ductile), rubber encapsulated Ductile and
Cast Iron discs(butterfly valves) and rubber seats for
butterfly and check valves. Our materials include SBR,
EPDM, Nitrile,Neoprene, Viton, and Natural.
I am looking for information regarding who manufacturers
these valves in Europe and Asia, the size of the market
(units per year), and who are the rubber manufacturers
who supply these manufacturers. If someone can supply a
contact or contacts, valve manufacturers organizations etc.
that can help me, I would be most appreciative.
Thanks for any help that you can provide.
